La Garde Ecossaise is an open access introduction to early modern history (c.1500-1750) using the power of historical fiction to introduce readers to this fascinating period of history.
Historical fiction puts the human experience at the centre of events, allowing us to feel the joys and sorrows of this turbulent time.
The book series is supported by free educational resources such as audio guides and podcasts which introduce readers and students of history to key events during the early modern period.
The book series is also supported by a fortnightly newsletter which includes original feature articles on the early modern period.
